Cleaning and sterilization monitoring

In the gke laboratories basic research is carried out in steam, ethylene oxide, LTSF and hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes for more than 20 years and research of cleaning processes is in progress for more than five years. As a result those reprocessing processes are tailored for specific applications and the validation and routine monitoring with biological and chemical indicators and PCDs (Process Challenge Devices) are implemented according to EN ISO 14937.

GKE offers scientific seminars worldwide:
    •    Sterilization kill kinetics
    •    Basic education concerning cleaning and/or sterilization processes
    •    Validation of cleaning and/or sterilization processes
    •    Monitoring and documentation of cleaning and/or sterilization processes

GKE works together with Sterility Assurance Laboratory, SAL GmbH, a test laboratory according to EN ISO 17025 accredited by DAkkS (German National Accreditation Body). SAL carries out process validations of all cleaning and sterilization processes according to the valid EU and ISO standards as well as sterility tests of medical devices.
